Handcrafted in sterling silver with genuine hand-painted miniature paintings/artworks enclosed between a silver plate and a glass front. Accented with fine hand-painted enamel work.

Understated, exquisitely detailed, and utterly dapper- this Shrinathji ring will bring an exotic, artful touch to any ensemble.

In Hindu mythology, Shrinathji is a form of Krishna, self-manifested in stone, as a seven-year-old child, shown in the act of lifting up Mount Govardhana to protect his devotees from a tempest invoked by the god Indra.

Zoom in and you'll see the unbelievable level of details that the masterful strokes of the miniature artist have managed to fit in the 1.5 cms by 2 cms artwork- Shrinathji's left hand raised (in the act of lifting up Mount Govardhana), the right hand made into a fist resting at the waist, His elaborate clothing, and jewelry, with a large diamond placed beneath the lips!

One of the most important images that served as the basis for the devotional cloth paintings (Pichhwais) of the Nathdwara temple, this form of Shrinathji is also associated with wealth and prosperity.

We love Pichhwais and often dream of a large one for the house- but for now, we're loving every bit of this miniature art on our finger- pretty sure you would too!

Dimensions: (face of the ring) 3.2 cm long and 2.7 cm at the widest. Adjustable size.

In a quaint home-cum-studio in Rajasthan, each miniature is deftly painted, using centuries-old techniques. Please allow for minor variations in the artwork and color, in keeping with their hand-painted nature.
